This morning I found the Great-tailed Grackle once again on the Trailshead Golf Course in Liberty Lake, Wa.
As in past years it was with Brewer's blackbirds. It hangs out most of the time around the 5th and 6th holes of this executive golf course. The best way to get to this spot is to take the Liberty Lake exit off I-90 which is about 15 miles east of Spokane. Go south about a mile to Settler Rd. which is at the south end of the golf course.

Turn left on Settler Rd., go east to the first left between rows of houses. Go north past 2 culdesacs plus one house. Park here and walk down the asphalt cart path to the edge of the golf course. If you stay right there and listen for the weird calls and watch for the grackle, you should find it.
