Well, Tweeters, it was pretty thrilling last night. We arrived at Wagner Elementary in Monroe about 7:15 and saw anoccasional bird starting at 7:38. Gradually more came until we would see 20 at
a time mostly coming from the southwest. Around 7:50 they began to approach the
chimney, still in loose groups and lots of solos. Around 8, we were seeing 40 or
50 at a time but it was starting to get so dark I was concerned we wouldn't be
able to see them go in. Then they began to swarm ....and they kept changing the
shape of their swarm, moving all over the sky and going faster and faster and
faster...it was like the best synchronized dance....and when you thought they
couldn't go any faster, in 7 seconds, at 8:15, they were all in the chimney
(2-300 birds).

It was beyond beautiful to watch.
