Today, while back on the beach looking to see if the Mountain Bluebird would make another appearance (which it didn't), I took advantage of the Brants being close to the tideline to take a good look. In the group, I noticed a partially leucistic Brant and took some pictures.

After meeting Carol Schultz and spending some time watching and chatting, I went back to my place and downloaded the photos, only to discover that there were actually two Brants that were affected. One was obvious, as it's head is very splotchy/mottled white while the second one has a more subtle affectation, also on it's head. They both look like their wings have a bit more white than the other Brants, but overall it's the heads that are most noticeable.

I have posted them on my Flickr site for anyone interested!
