My wife and I spent six hours searching from the Clark-Skamania
County line to the Wind River, above Bonneville Dam, in search of the
reported frigatebird with no luck. We did find two GREATER WHITE-FRONTED
GEESE at the pond above the Hamilton Island Boat Ramp, two HERMIT THRUSH
and a TOWNSEND'S SOLITAIRE at the overlook above the Bonneville Dam
Visitor's Center. We bumped into our son who is working on the sea lion
issue and asked him to pass the word of the frigatebird to the other
Department of Wildlife people working in the dam area and have then
contact me immediately if it is seen again.
