Hi Tweets -
The weather took a break this evening, so spurred on by other
Tweeters' reports of Purple Martins, I spent an hour from 7-8 down at
Shilshole Bay in Ballard (Seattle), watching the pilings for
returning martins. Sure enough, one male showed up! He seemed to
still be inspecting gourds, as he sat next to 2-3 different ones in
the hour I was there.

Also present out in the water were:
Marbled Murrelet- 1 - my first of the year in King Co
Caspian Terns - a few flew by
Bonaparte's Gulls - many fluttering around in the Sound

Nice way to end the day,
