Dear Tweeters:
I'm new to the list, and have looked through some of the past months' archives, and haven't seen any current mention of this, so bear with me if this is repeat information for some of you.

There are now 5 active Great Blue Heron nests, all in one tree (a tall cottonwood?) at the intersection of 95th and Sandpoint Way NE in Wedgwood, just before the turn off to Matthew's Beach. The last nest was built quite quickly, within the past few weeks. At one point, I have seen eight herons in the one tree! With Thornton Creek, Meadowbrook Pond, and the Lake all nearby, it must be a prime location. I hope they will remain years to follow!
