Hi all,

Delia and I went up to Two Rivers Wildlife Management area south of Monroe (take the bridge across the River and make a right on Tualco Rd.).

There were an awful lot of sparrows there, some in big well-mixed flocks, we were looking for Swamp Sparrows and didn't find any but wouldn't be surprised if someone else did.
We saw:

6 Hooded Merganser
7 Northern Shoveler
8 Tree Swallow
9 Coot
10 Canada Geese
11. Red-tailed Hawk

13. Ring-necked Duck
14. American Crow
15. Bufflehead
16. Wood Duck
17. Barn Swallow
18. Northern Harrier
19. Savannah Sparrow (many)
20. Great Blue Heron
21. Song Sparrow
22. American Robin
23. Common Yellowthroat (many were bravely singing)
24. American Kestrel
25. Bald Eagle
26 Violet-green Swallow
27. White-crowned Sparrow
28. American Goldfinch
29. Rough-winged Swallow (10 plus or minus)
30 Hairy Woodpecker
31 Bewick?s Wren
32. Purple Finch
33. Rufous Hummingbird (only one)
34. Black-capped Chickadee
35. Ruby Crowned Kinglet (usually with scarlet deployed)
36 Golden-crowned Kinglet
37. Lincoln?s Sparrow 50, plus or minus many

40. Red-Breasted Sapsucker

42. Chestnut-backed Chickadee
43. Northern Flicker

50. White-throated Sparrow (10-12 at the least)
51. Double-crested Cormorant
52. Ring-necked Pheasant, looking like someone just put it there

55. Yellow-rumped Warbler
56. Common Raven
Yellowlegs sp heard, no doubt Greater

A Townsend?s Solitaire puts Hein/Bazewick at 40 in Anacortes.

Alexander is at 29 in Lakewood (Seattle) with Townsend's Warber.
