Hi Barbara and Tweets

Nice picture of a Green Heron. Good to know that they are there.

Subject: [Tweeters] Heron question

Hi all, I am new to this group but have followed many of your emails and have enjoyed all the great information.

I am new to birding and need an identification of a bird I saw up in Bothell off of the Beardsley exit in the wetlands. I just got a glimpse out of the corner of my eye as he flew by and was able to get off a couple of pics before he left. I thought it was some kind of heron but I am not good at identifying birds. These are a couple of the pics, sorry they aren't the best:

any help would be appreciated.
Barbara Perrin, novice birder
