This morning at about 9 AM, at least one Semipalmated Sandpiper and three
Least Sandpipers were present in the south shallows of the Shoveler Pond at
the Union Bay Natural Area (Montlake Fill). The Solitary Sandpiper was
still present in the small wooded pond about 100 yds south of the Shoveler
Pond. Both of these ponds are best accessed from the Center for Urban
Horticulture parking lot on the east end of the property.
