There was a flood of migrants in the yard this morn as I headed out, most noticeable was a Dendroica flock that included
mostly YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLERS but also several TOWNSEND'S and 2-3 BLACK-THROATED GRAYS, our first of season
but the latest arrival recorded in our 12 years here. More notable and on the early side was a singing WESTERN TANAGER;
most years they don't show until after May 1.

On Saturday, 4/26, I also heard a CALIF. QUAIL at the end of our road (where it meets 84th Street NE/Getchell Rd), they
are local here. Last night in Granite Falls a flock of VAUX'S SWIFTS were overhead. Since the early one April 13, PAC-SLOPE
FLYCATCHER had been absent, but on Saturday another (or the same bird) reappeared in the woods at the edge of the yard.

Also of note over the weekend was an impressive ad. N. GOSHAWK seen near the ballfields just west of the South Hill Mall in
Puyallup on Saturday, April 26.
