Hi Tweeters,

I made a quick stop at Nisqually NWR on the way home from work this afternoon. The Black-necked Stilts were not present at the small pond where they were reported yesterday. In fact, the only shorebirds were perhaps 10 Least Sandpipers and 1 Greater Yellowlegs. I took a quick walk to the Twin Barns, hoping to see Keith's Yellow-headed Blackbird, but it was either laying low or had moved on. In the trees on the way to the barns I did get a very nice look at a Nashville Warbler and about 10 feet farther on a Warbling Vireo was flitting about just above eye level. There were also a couple of calling Brown-headed Cowbirds adjacent to the second parking lot. Good birding,
