Hello all from MerryLynn,
For a third April in a row the Shoemake's are hosting a Lesser Goldfinch - a
male this year. Never sticks around long. And we have a female Tricolored
Blackbird coming in with the redwings in our garden.

Bennington Lake today was very birdy - what a change in the last week!

Wilson's Phalarope - 1 female - new bird for our Bennington Lake list! #176
for our county year list
Black-necked Stilt - 8 birds - very unusual for this location
Brewer's Sparrows - 3 - maybe back to nest?
Chipping Sparrow - 1
Nashville Warbler - 4 - always a treat to see
Orange-crowned Warbler - 7
Yellow Warbler - 3 singing males
Hammond's Flycatcher - 6
Dusky Flycatcher - 1
Western Kingbirds - 10+ nice to have them back

Also had a nice mix of ducks and swallows and the Osprey were catching fish
faster than the fishermen.

For more information about birding in Walla Walla county check out our

Now for our grosbeaks, buntings, tanager, etc. - - - -
