This evening Sheila Hardy and myself rounded the corner onto Harrison Street at 5:55 pm. The swifts were swirling around the chimney - at 6:10 pm there was a raptor flyover and the whole group moved to the north out of view. They returned into view at 6:18 pm. And then:

6:23 pm 4 enter the flue
6:26 - 6:28 pm 200 (best count, probably too low) enter the flue
6:30 - 6:31 pm 50 enter the flue
6:31 for 30 seconds 66 birds enter the flue
6:32 for 30 seconds 70 birds enter the flue
6:38 pm All birds into flue in following groups:
18
21
100
8
47
7
2
11
Adds up to a total of 604 Vaux's Swifts this evening

Cloud cover not as heavy this evening, did not "spit" rain, but seemed cooler.
