Birders,

The drake TUFTED DUCK was present for most of the day yesterday (April 29)
at the Reifel Bird Sanctuary in Delta-- third day in a row (it was also seen
more briefly on April 21 and 24). For quite a while, it was actively feeding
within 5 metres of observers in one of the ponds in the main enclosure.
And-- for a change-- no signs of hybrid origin on this bird!

photos.

There seems to be a good chance that this bird will stay for a few more
days, in case someone from outside the immediate area wants to look for it.
