Hi Tweeters,

I stopped at the Boeing Ponds today just before 3:00. The Common Teal was in the small pond, as reported a couple of times recently on Tweeters. It was only the second time that I had seen this bird; very pretty. Is it considered conspecific with the Green-winged Teal? Anyway, if you are not familiar with the location of the ponds, an excellent map and directions can be found on the Rainier Audubon Society website. One way to this pond can be found by parking at the barrier where 59th PL. interesects with 62 Ave. and walking south past the larger pond a short distance. Now, if Tim can only convince his Ruff to stay put until Friday.

Good birding,
