You're quite fortunate to have seen that Swainson's on your porch. I've
had Swainson's Thrush at my place annually since at least 2000, and
most years see them only when I go stalking through the swamp which
edges my back yard. Rarely, I'll see one darting through the yard in
flight, and never at my back porch.

And don't write off a Great Egret! In some years (but not this one), I
have Green Heron night-roosting in the alder swamp on the edge of my
place, and once caught a pair gathering nest building material from the
trees behind my house.
