Yesterday at Bennington Lake there was a male Nashville Warbler - our first "migrating" warbler this fall out there. Lots of Bank Swallows and Vaux's Swifts over the lake and 2 Greater and 5 Lesser Yellowlegs on the mud - along with a couple Spotted Sandpipers and Killdeer. Still good numbers of Eastern Kingbirds and a few Westerns.
Birds are on the move here - especially early am - orioles, grosbeaks, buntings, tanagers, sparrows and warblers all moving south - for the last two weeks.
We have young Swainson's Hawks all over the valley - they did very well this year. Beautiful to watch.
