A quick note for anyone wanting to purchase "Birds of North America" by Kenn Kaufman. The University Book Store in the U District in Seattle has 5 copies for sale at $6 each. Certainly a nice beginner book, or as added reference to someone's library.
The Smithsonian Guide is now on the shelves at the bookstore. Does anyone have any experience with it? I know it has some photographs from the Wa. state resident Jim Danzenbacker.
