Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday August 7. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls at

On August 1 a HORNED PUFFIN was in the channel between the jetties at
Tillamook Bay.

Shorebird migrations are now increasing as Juveniles are beginning to
arrive. Two PACIFIC GOLDEN-PLOVERS and a STILT SANDPIPER were at the
Necanicum River mouth August 3. On August 6 three MARBLED GODWITS were at
Fern Ridge Reservoir.

On July 31 five RAVENS were seen on Sauvie Island. Up to 16 RAVENS have
recently been seen at a roost near Camp Adair north of Corvallis. A group of
five WESTERN KINGBIRDS were at Fern Ridge Reservoir August 1. Five FORSTER?S
TERN were there August 3.

On August 5 two RED-SHOULDERED HAWKS were at Tumalo Reservoir near Bend. On
was near Sun River August 5. A SABINE?S GULL was seen August 2 at Lake
Abert.
