Hi Tweets,

A pair of Purple Martins were feeding at least two chicks at Weir Prairie this morning. They are using one of the swallow houses high in the first fir tree on the gravel road that starts out near the sign.
I did not know that they would nest away from water so I had to dig out my Sibley's and read about them. They are beautiful.
