Subject: [Tweeters] Cooper's and flicker

I've seen them hit bandtails but I saw a Cooper's taking down a flicker in
my yard yesterday. I didn't see the actual attack so I don't know if it
were mid-air or off my suet but when I looked out the hawk was standing on
the flicker's back. Every time the flicker would spread his tail or move
his wings the hawk would simply put his foot back down, just like a big dog
restraining a rambunctious pup.

Once the flicker quit struggling the hawk shuttle-flopped their way into the
woods nearby.
