Hi Tweeters,

I neglected to add that the elevation to the pass is about 6500 ft with an elevation gain of 2700 ft from the trailhead. Distance is 3.7 miles with an average time of 2.5-3 hours to the pass and another 30 minutes to the northwest saddle (another 500 ft) where I had the family of ptarmigans.

I simply LOVED the area!!
