Tweets,

While at our property this last weekend at Lake Keechelus I was happy to see that the Spotted Sandpipers were successful at breeding this year. It seems that they are a little behind this year as the little ones were smaller this year than at the same time last year. Four brown cotton balls on stilts. Very cute. As a side note to any bug people out there, I found a male and a female 10-striped June Beetle last night on my screen door. They are huge and hiss when you pick them up which is a little bit creepy. They are easily half as long as my index finger. It says that they are common in the PNW but this is the first time I have seen them.
