Once spring a couple of years ago, I did a route beginning in downtown Seattle, taking the #43 to the UW Arboretum, walking from there to Montlake Playfield (for brown-headed cowbird) and from there across the bridge to Husky Stadium, through the Union Bay Natural Area and out past the Center for Urban Horticulture, catching the #75 to Magnuson Park, then getting back on the #75 to Northgate Park & Ride (ticking off Brewer's blackbird near the mall), transferring to the #5 which took me to a transfer point for the route #48, which took me to Golden Gardens Park (for brant -- remember, this was spring). Then I climbed back up the hill and got back on the #48 and took it to Ballard, transferred to a #18 south and got off at that place near the Magnolia bridge where there is a pedestrian overpass to the north end of the jogging trail along Myrtle Edwards park (to search for purple martin, Caspian tern, and pigeon guillemot), walked all the way to the south
end of Myrtle Edwards park and from there returned home on the #8 bus.

At no point did I have wait very long for any bus.
