Subject: [Tweeters] Banded Rock Dove (Pigeon) found

Good day all,

A few weeks ago I found the remains of what appeared to be a Rock Dove below
a Peregrine Falcon aerie in a remote corner of Snohomish country.

On one foot was a yellow-plastic band. The band had what appears to be a
single white plastic dot, about a millimeter in diameter, inset into the
plastic. AFAICT; there are no other, visible markings on that band.

All of the on-line pigeon locator/return services that I've found seem to
care only about getting the number off of the band. There is none. Is this
kind of band unique to some study or other specific use?

Any help to get this resolved would be most appreciated...

Best regards,
