Hello All,

Upon our return home last night in the mail was the confirmation of two records of male Hooded Orioles in Walla Walla Co.. We now have photos of the adult male bird that appeared on 28 July 2008 along Valley Chapel Rd. in southern Walla Walla Co. at the John Knowles home. This site was also visited by an adult male Hooded Oriole on 1 August 2007. We strongly suspect that both records are of the same adult male bird. This constitutes the first known Walla Walla Co. record and the first known Southeast Washington record of this spectacular oriole species.
