The wife and I went to the Mountain to see the wildflowers. We must have
been too early this year. They were real sparse at Paradise and only a
little better at Sunrise. The bird highlight was a female Spruce Grouse that
kept walking toward us until finally her three chicks came out from the
brush along the trail and crossed to her side. We also watched some young
marmots at play. This was Tuesday and Wednesday, beautiful weather.
