Tweets - one of our least-birdy days ever. We missed a bunch of "easy"
stuff. What was there didn't want to be seen. Nothing much unexpected
showed up. The weather could have been worse - cool and windy, with some
gusts, but no rain. Still, tbe birds didn't like it.

Best highlight was an adult and two young RIVER OTTERS swimming downstream
towards the weir.

Bird highlights:

Cooper's Hawk Juvie going after Wood Ducks in the slough
Rufous Hummingbird About as late as we ever get them
Willow Flycatcher Hyperactive, for some reason. Silent.
Purple Martin Three over the windmill
Bushtit Single flock of 22, plus other flocks
Y.-rumped Warbler Female w/2 begging young at Mansion

Did have singing (but unseen) Red-eyed Vireo and Purple Finch.

Missed: Vaux's Swift. Downy Woodpecker, Warbling Vireo, Marsh Wren,
Swainson's Thrush, Orange-crowned Warbler, Yellow Warbler, Wilson's Warbler,
Spotted Towhee, Black-headed Grosbeak, and Red-winged Blackbird (all seen at
least 8 times in the previous 13 years).

For the day, we managed to eke out 45 species.
