Hello All,
Friday evening MerryLynn and I headed north out of Walla Walla up towards the Lower Monumental Dam area to camp beside a 38 acre lake that is just off the Snake River in Walla Walla Co.. Upon our arrival we noticed a large group of folks camping at the north end of the lake. Birds of note on Friday evening and Saturday Morning are as follows.

Friday Evening

Common Nighthawk-5
Great Horned Owl-1
Am. White Pelican-5
Wilsons Warbler-5
Least Sandpiper-3
Wilsons Snipe-1
Greater Yellowlegs-1

Saturday Morning

Common Poorwill-1
Common Nighthawk-8
Least Flycatcher-1
Hammonds Flycatcher-1
Eastern Kingbird-8
Western Kingbird-5
Dusky Flycatcher-1
Wisons Warbler-6
Orange Crowned Warbler-1
Yellow Warbler-7
Yellow-breasted Chat-1
Osprey-2-one of the guys camping took a shot at one of these Osprey with a .22 rifle.
I hollered at him and he stopped shooting at the birds.
House Wren-2
Mourning Dove-15+ some still on nests with eggs.
Sage Thrasher-1-odd location as there is no shrub-steppe in this area.
