New species are few and far between at the Hundred Acre Woods (NE Lakewood, Pierce County) but this morning, mixed in with all of the local Red-winged Blacbirds was a male Yellow-headed Blackbird.? First one we've seen in 5 years of surveys here.

In other HAW news, there were good crops this year of Flickers, House Finches, Black-capped Chickadees, Towhees and Western Wood-pewees.? Juveniles everywhere!
