Tina and I returned to the Skagit this morning to continue our wild Egret
chase. We found the CATTLE EGRET near the end of Channel Drive (thank you
Kathy!). It flew across the street in front of us and perched on the
railing of someone's deck. After spending about 6 hours yesterday looking
at every herd of cows and tractor on the Skagit, it was humorous that
someone had it as a yard bird...



We also found a single SNOW GOOSE in a flock of CANADA GEESE just east of
Burlington on highway 20. This is very early.
