Subject: [Tweeters] Birding at Fields Riffle Community Park

As a follow -up to Kathy's doggy note - the dog 'park' is not currently installed. The entry to the 'natural area' goes thru some agricultural fields which I presume may be the intended off leash area as they could be fenced off (as at Marymoor Park). This may be the plan here - maybe concerned tweeters could inquire to the county and give some imput. I would imagine that with all the habitat work the county has done there, that they would'nt plan to allow off leash dogs everywhere at this site. Communication to Snohomish Co. Parks might be helpful.

Jeff Gibson provided some interesting information on this community park in Snohomish County. I Googled it and found this information at a Snohomish County web site:
[T]he Off-Leash Dog Park originally planned for Fobes Hill Community Park will be constructed at Fields Riffle Community Park.
See for yourself at the Department of Public Works' web page:

So much for a left-alone, quiet place to go birding. We can't leave anything alone.
Good birding--somewhere,
