Tweeters,

Spent some time up at Sunrise, Rainier, yesterday hiking. Took the trail out to the Fremont lookout and then doubled back and up the Burroughs trail, looping back to Sunrise. It snowed on me most of the way out to Fremont and then clouded in there, but once I started back the opposite direction it cleared up and became mostly sunny by the end of the day. Conditions did remain cold and blustery the entire day however. Not too many birds overall, but did find the following:

Red-tailed Hawk, 1
Prairie Falcon, 1
Gray Jay, several
Clark's Nutcracker, 2
Raven, several
Mountain Chickadee, 4
American Robin, 1
Varied Thrush, 1
Yellow-rumped Warbler, 1
Gray-crowned Rosy Finch, 3 Fremont, 3 Burroughs

Black Bear, 4, (2 were cubs with their mother)
Elk, 7
Golden-mantled Ground Squirrel, several
Mule Deer, 3 (2 fawns)
Hoary Marmot, 1
