Tough fog at Alki Beach Park 1:00-2:00 today -
25+ Black Turnstones
a dozen or so Sanderlings
Surf Scoter
Harlequin Duck
In the woods at Me-Kwa-Mooks park (further south on Beach Dr) -
Red-breasted Sapsucker
2 Hermit Thrush
numerous Cedar Waxing and American Robin (berries!!)
Winter Wren
At mouth of Cedar River in Renton -
As of 3:30 Palm Warbler present (alone) in location as reported the past few days. Three quick identifying distinctions (vs. Yellow-rumped): more plump, constant tail pumping, yellow tail covert.
