This afternoon about 3 pm, I was at Mystery Bay on Marrowstone Island. Many
times, I see hooded mergansers here.
Some one recently asked about where to find them. I have seen them here off
and on through out the year. I would need to go look in my note book to get
exact dates. There were also some common mergansers.
About 3:45, I was at the South Indian Island county park when a pair of
eagles did a fly by towards lower Oak Bay county park. Shortly there after,
the mixed flock of widgeons and northern pintails, that I had seen earlier
in the day at that park, all took flight and flew towards Marrowstone
Island! What a sight that was!
