Hello, we did our monthly bird census at Discovery Park in Seattle this morning. The Northern Shrike is still hanging around the South Meadow. Look for it up high. It was spotted several times on top of the biggest Big-leaf Maple near the center of the meadow area. We were looking around at the tops of the shrubs and small trees where they are normally seen but this one was perched higher than I have ever seen a shrike. I guess it liked the view.
