We were at Fort Flagler yesterday afternoon also. You should have stayed around a while. There was a flock of about 25 or 30 black-bellied plovers with several pacific sandpipers mixed in with them. We also saw one adult and one juvie bald eagle. We also saw 7 bufflehead, 2 red breasted merganser, mallards, and widgeons.

We also saw 2 river otters. One was eating a flounder it had just caught the other was just swimming around watching us. We couldn't complain about the weather - cool but dry.
