Hello,

I live in Olympia and just 10 days ago noticed a hummingbird sitting in
the shrub outside my front window. I went outside and realized that we have
a scarlet Penstemon still in bloom (we live about 1/2 mile from Puget Sound).
No doubt the Penstemon was the real draw.
After some reading and consideration, we put up a hummingbird feeder.
Today we had our first visitor; a beautiful male Anna's, green body and
full helmet rose-colored gorget. He looked pretty fat, considering.
I know of 2 other people in Olympia who currently have regular Anna's.
I'm thinking it would be interesting to have an Anna's interest group.
Anybody else out there?
