I have been unable for years to attract hummers to my yard. At my office
only three miles away we put up a feeder this summer near a hanging basket
and within days got a hummer no bigger than a raisin! Watched him grow,
gaining his Anna's feathers. Now he and his sweetheart come all day; we
have put up another feeder on the other side of the office so they can share
more nicely and get away from the chickadees, etc. which have a few feeders
to eat from, too.

Sure enjoy watching them all day at work...still can't get one at my
house...

I just saw an Anna's yesterday morning (12/7/08). I am at 700' on the
outskirts of Fall City as you head towards Issaquah. Very surprising!
