We have regular visits from a bushtit flock to our suet, as well as to
the seed feeders. As the other Tweeters wrote, the flock (ten to twenty
birds) arrives together (often with chickadees), moves rapidly from spot
to spot in the yard, and the flock flies off together about three to
five minutes later. Bushtits work the suet feeder and the Malus and
Prunus trees in the yard alternately. Lately, they have also begun to
feed on seed at the tray. Bewick's wren, downy woodpeckers, juncos, and
flickers also feed on suet in our Seattle yard.
