Hello to all,

As I write this, it is 25 degrees in Olympia, about 2:20 pm. Our HB
feeders froze overnight, so we put out fresh solution at 7:30 am. We were
greeted by chirpy, very active and vocal Anna's as we took the feeders out.
These are window feeders in a sunny window, and as of right now, they
are not frozen at all. Maybe the window helps, maybe the sunny location.
Usually sunny locations are not recommended, because of increased risk of
fermenting nectar. However, any nectar that gets enough organisms to ferment in
this weather has my respect. (!)
