I?ve had a tan-striped White-throated Sparrow in my yard for almost a month now. At first I thought it was an immature bird since it has a lot of streaking on the breast and flanks, but apparently adults of this morph can have streaking. I see so few White-throated Sparrows it?s been fun to see one regularly and learn more about plumage variation in this species.
