Actually, the photos are of a white-throated sparrow. A white-crowned
sparrow would never have yellow lores as this bird does, and a
white-crowned sparrow would not show such strong contrast between the
white throat and gray face/breast. A white-crowned sparrow would also
have a yellowish, orangish or pinkish bill (depending on subspecies).
The bill of the bird in your photo is distinctly gray.
