Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday December 18. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls

The Peoria PYRRHULOXIA continues to be seen. On December 15 a probable
THICK-BILLED MURRE was seen passing Boiler Bay.

Thousands of BROWN PELICANS are still scattered along the coast along with a
few HEERMANN?S GULLS. Thousands of KILLDEER are now concentrated along the
southern Oregon coastal meadowlands.

On December 16 a CLAY-COLORED SPARROW and 14 LAPLAND LONGSPURS were at
Flores Lake near Cape Blanco. On December 15 a TREE SPARROW, a LONG-TAILED
DUCK, and large numbers of HERRING and THAYER?S GULLS were at the South
Jetty of the Siuslaw River. Over 1000 WHITE-WINGED SCOTERS were off Boiler
Bay December 12.

The immature SWAINSON?S HAWK continues to be seen at the Shillapoo Wildlife
Area near Vancouver Lake. An adult SWAINSON?S HAWK was photographed December
16 along Sandridge Road near Lebanon. On December 16 a SWAINSON?S THRUSH was
photographed in northwest Portland. It has remained.

On December 13 a WESTERN GULL, three HARRIS?S SPARROWS, and three BARN
SWALLOWS were at McNary Dam. A BOHEMIAN WAXWING was seen December 13 in
Sisters. A REDPOLL was reported December 17 at Crooked River Ranch. The
Upper Klamath Lake WHITE-WINGED SCOTER continues to be seen. A HARRIS?S
SPARROW is now being seen at a feeder in Hines.
