Hello, Tweeters,

I've received some interesting reports in the last 24 hours about
birds in Clallam County:

1) Patrick and Kim Loafman have an immature Harris's Sparrow visiting
their feeder near Joyce, west of Port Angeles. They have some nice
photos of the bird.

2) Yesterday, 12/18/08, Judy Mullally, a very careful local birder,
found a fine assortment of warblers traveling with chickadee and
kinglet flocks along the Port Angeles waterfront between Morse Creek
and Lees Creek, east of the old Rayonier mill site. They include a
male Wilson's Warbler, two female-type Common Yellowthroats, at least
five Townsend's Warblers and one Orange-crowned Warbler. Also three
Hermit Thrushes in the area.

3) I have a likely report of a possible immature female-type Rose-
breasted Grosbeak visiting a feeder on the east side of Sequim late
this afternoon. The report is waiting confirmation - hopefully the
bird will be around tomorrow.

Seems like an odd assortment of birds to be around during the big
cold snap, don't you think? Maybe if we get more snow even more
disoriented migrants will show up.
