I spent most of the morning birding around Juanita Bay Park in
Kirkland. There were quite a few locally unusual birds around
including the following:

Cackling Goose - 1, apparently Taverner's
Virginia Rail - 1 out in the snow at the end of the middle boardwalk
that flew after I startled it. I think it's the first time I've seen
one fly.
Western Gull - 1 adult
Hermit Thrush - 2
Varied Thrush - 10, new high count
American Pipit - 7, new high count
Yellow-rumped Warblers - 9
Townsend's Warbler - 4, new high count
White-throated Sparrow - 1, end of firestation road with Golden-crowned Sparrows
Purple Finch - 2

Pictures are here including Wood Ducks, accipiters, Virginia Rail,
thrushes & pipits:
