Hello, again

I am on a roll now! The day before the snow we has a very birdy 30 minutes. In the 30 minute period I had 23 robin, 3 varied thrush, 9 house finch, 17 junco, 1 stellar's jay, 2 towhee, 1 flicker, 3 anna's, 6 black capped and 5 chestnut sided chickadee and 13 bushtit. As part of the landscaping I dug a 35" stream with a 8' x 10' pond at the end. In the stream at one time I had 7 robin, the stellar's jay, 6 house finch, 2 varied thrush and 5 junco. The only feed is a suet block and the hummingbird feeders, so the stream was the attracker. Through the summer I have had all of the above use the stream with the addition of band-tailed pigeon, a cowbird (that was a surprise) crows, mallard and a few others. I have also had low flybys of a GBH and a bald eagle, no fish, so they didn't land! The water feature has been a great addition for backyard birding and it was easy to install.
