Hi Tweeters:

We have 8 inches of snow up here and it's still snowing! So, I spend my time reading, watching yard birds and tending the feeders. I was surprised yesterday when a No. Flicker and then a Downy Woodpecker moved from suet feeders to Sunflower hearts in a tube feeder.

Today, I added two new yard birds with visits from a bright male Townsend's Warbler vying for suet and sunflower seeds with my regulars (Bushtits, Chickadees, House Finch, American Goldfinch and Nuthatches) and a handsome sooty Fox Sparrow competing with Dark-eyed Juncos and a solitary Song Sparrow for scattered seeds below.

I alternate two hummingbird feeders for our resident Anna's throughout the day. All of my feeders are on a small covered patio about 4 feet from a sliding glass door which provides a bit of heat for the birds and a great view for me when I'm stuck indoors.
