Today was this year's first confirmed sighting of Townsend's Warblers in our
yard . A male and a female were foraging in the Western Red Cedars in our
back yard. The male's plumage appeared incredibly bright. As bright as I can
ever recall on one.

We've had Varied Thrush on the edges of our driveway since December 5th.
There are lots of fallen leaves from apple, cherry, and alder which seem to
provide all of the invertebrates they need.
