Hi Dennis and Tweets,

Yep, it's starting to snow here in Maple Leaf...again. I was up near Skagit
on Saturday (when it was still very cold out at night and in the early
morning, 6F) and conditions were bad to say the least. There was ice on the freeway
north of Arlington and once off of the freeway the side roads were very much
covered in snow and ice. Now I assume the ice is off of the freeway because
it has been warming up but I imagine the side roads are still pretty bad. A
friend lives in Snohomish and emailed me a few days ago and said the snow was
up to his waist in places. Another friend just emailed from north of
Bellingham and although he didn't report the road conditions he said he has 3ft of
snow in his front yard.
Maybe someone else has more current reports but it was a bit of an adventure
up there a few days ago!
As for recent bird sightings I had a Hermit Thrush in the front yard
yesterday. It came from underneath the front porch. One of the very few places
without snow in our yard.
